Target Audience

The target audience for this CME/CE program is pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and public health clinicians.

Statement of Need

The severe morbidity as well as the mortality from influenza epidemics affect all ages, particularly young children. Despite availability of an influenza vaccination, high rates of infection and transmission continue among children. Increasing healthcare workers’ understanding of the influenza vaccine may help alleviate these problems and related social burdens.
